Oooh! Let's make superheros!

TDA's comment where he describes the puke-green outfit made me want to come up with a name and an outfit. This also reminds me of an old MPJ post...

I think I'm the Enigmatic Enabler or something like that...The Heroin Helpmate...

Maybe I'd rather be some kind of goddess...St. Junkyface Of The Everflowing Nipple Of Money And Love And Cars And Computers. Then I could finally formally establish the St. Junkyface Home For Sexy Tortured Artist Addicts, so I can be surrounded by my drug of choice. I'd swim in blue-eyed addict boys. They'd rub me and slap my face with their wangs...

Wait, I think I forgot which blog I was on for a second...

So anys, what's your superhero/god/goddess?

The Write Purpose

This blog was born out of a collective mind and formed with collective ideas; we hope it will grow out of collective experience. This community project belongs to all of us; it is a place to share your strength, weakness, hope, fears, wisdom, knowledge, and experience. It is a place for you to ask questions and to give answers based on your own experience. It is a safe harbor for those of us both in and out of recovery, as well as for the men and women who are attempting to understand and support us.

Since most of us here have our own blog’s, I have been faced with the question; what should be posted here? My answer is: anything and everything as long as you stick to the guidelines (The Write Way) listed below. Stick to your personal experience, and no subject is too taboo or off limits. Please be fearless in your posting. Every question is important, and all shared experiences are priceless. Everything has a place in this blog.

The Write Way

1. Anonymity: Anonymity while being of the utmost importance among our community blog, absolutely no anonymous posts or comments will be accepted. To post on this community blog you must be a contributing author. To leave comments you must be a registered member of blogger. If you would like to be a contributing author, pick a pseudonym or even a pseudo-pseudonym, and send me an email (Erin- the current moderator) and I will be happy to add you. Also include a link to your personal blog if you would like it to be a part of the Individual Blog Links.

2. No personal attacks! No one person's opinion, feelings, emotions, experience, or story are ever wrong, or of lesser value than anyone else’s. Debates, responses, rebuttals, and personal opinions in regards to another’s post shall be formed in such a way as they relate to you and you alone. Writing should be in the first person; a good reminder is to use “I” statements when both writing posts, responses, or comments. Exercise good judgment and treat others with the same respect you would be treated with. This is the one area where I will “moderate” with extreme prejudice. I will not tolerate any personal attacks on posts or comments; such will be removed, the author informed with an explanation as to why.

3. Respect: This is the one thing I can not stress enough, and though I have already mentioned it in many ways thus far, I am bringing it up again. Please treat this blog as if it was your own. After all it does belong to you, me, and the entire community. Its main purpose is for the benefit of the group as a whole, and those who come here to read the experience of its authors. Please always keep the community as a whole in mind, use your best judgment, and if your writing is meant for the benefit of both yourself AND the group, then we will achieve our goal. Remember “Principles before Personalities.”
